Accessibility at Dovedale

Parking 

We offer extra wide accessible parking bays at Dovedale.

Access into the centre 

Our centre has a sloped ramp for entrance and exit, with no barrier, and automatic doors to ensure easy wheelchair entrance and exit. 

Movement around centre

We have wide access and entry and exit routes throughout the centre.

The centre has level floors all around the ground floor, as well as easy access male and female changing rooms on the ground floor, including an accessible changing and shower room and toilet. This is accessible by radar key; alternatively, please ask at reception if you need to use this.

We also have lift access to our first floor facilities.

Hearing impairments

We do not operate a hearing loop at Dovedale.

Visual impairments and assistance animals

We welcome assistance animals in centre to assist their owners.

Changing and toilets   

Dry changing rooms

Our male changing rooms and toilets are located on the ground floor and our female changing rooms and toilets are located on the first floor, accessible by lift. Please ask at reception if you require help with or access to these.

We also offer large, lower level lockers in our changing rooms.

Toilets 

We have accessible toilets in both the male and female changing rooms.

Gym

Our gym is not accessible for those in a wheelchair as there are steps down, and no ramp access.

Studio

We have a lift, which allows access to our gym, fitness class studio and meeting room.

Accessible and extra sensory sessions

Unfortunately we don't currently offer accessible sessions at Dovedale. However we have a variety of sessions available at our other leisure centres in our accessible activities section.
