Shifting Perspectives

Do you care for, live with, or know someone living with dementia? We are seeking individuals living with dementia and their companions to participate in our next exhibition – Shifting Perspectives: Exploring Art Together.

This is a unique opportunity for people living with dementia and their companions to be a part of a group exploring art together. Participants will look at works of art from Chelmsford Museum’s collections and discuss what they see, what they like and how it makes them feel.

During the sessions, they’ll choose works of art for a new exhibition at the museum in 2025. No previous art knowledge is required and there are no wrong answers – just a space for open and friendly conversations. All of the sessions are free and light refreshments will be provided.

Interested individuals can find out more and sign up to take part by contacting Curatorial and Learning Officer, Claire Willetts, at museums@chelmsford.gov.uk or on 01245 605700. Please register your interest by 16 September.

You will be supported by trained staff and volunteers from Chelmsford Museum and the Alzheimer’s Society.
