You can search for TPOs, using:

  • the TPO reference number
  • the parish the tree is in
  • the ward the tree is in
  • the address of the tree

Trees in conservation areas that are more than 7.5cm in diameter at 1.5 metres above the ground have protection, as if they have a TPO.

However, some trees in conservation areas also have a specific TPO attached to them. If your tree has a specific TPO, these conditions will apply, rather than the more general conservation area order.
