The High Street Market takes place in Chelmsford High Street every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

It's been running since 2005 and offers a traditional shopping experience.

There’s fresh bread, cakes and pastries from Brown Bread, or freshly caught fish, lobster and jellied eels supplied by Young’s Fish. Cheese & Pie, a family-run stall, sell varieties of cheeses from brie to black bombers. Another family-run business is DAE the greengrocers, which includes a unique self-service shopping experience.

No High Street market is complete without its street food. You’ll find Caribbean dishes from Jerk Station, authentic German bratwurst sausages and burgers, and authentic vegan and vegetarian falafels cooked before your eyes.

If you're feeling thirsty, Coffee Stop sells over 50 different coffee flavours, plus cool shakes in the summer.

Away from food, GSE Flowers boast unique flowers from Holland, which are hard to find in local supermarkets.
