Chelmsford Museum offers schools half termly topic loans on both history and natural history.
History loans
The topic loans contain a mixture of genuine and replica artefacts, or printed materials, and come with a set of teacher notes.

Natural history loans
Chelmsford Museum has a selection of mammals, birds and amphibians each in individual display cases available for loan on a half termly basis.
The Natural History loans are very popular for art classes, especially in the Autumn Term. We offer a maximum of six specimens per loan.

- Amphibians
- Fossils
Schools collect the boxes from the Museum and should return them by the Thursday at the end of each half term.
