Consultation on Danbury Neighbourhood Plan
Parish-tier councils, or other organisations, can take the lead in creating neighbourhood development plans, community plans and orders for planning in their area. We will help to create the plans, and make decisions at key stages.
Danbury Parish Council has developed a draft Neighbourhood Plan for the parish and formally submitted it to us.
It covers the whole of the parish, and includes planning policies on the environment, village character, development, and open space. Once adopted, it will become part of Chelmsford’s Local Plan.
Examination
We have appointed an Independent Examiner to examine the Danbury Neighbourhood Plan. The Examiner is Andrew Freeman BSc (Hons) DipTP DipEM FRTPI.
We have sent all the submission documents and comments we received to the Regulation 16 Consultation to the Examiner, who will decide whether the Danbury Neighbourhood Plan should proceed to referendum. If we do hold a public referendum in the area covered by the Plan, and more than 50% vote ‘yes’, we will adopt it.
Examination correspondence
We will publish all correspondence relating to the Independent Examination on this page.
Submission documents
There are also some evidence documents which provide helpful background information, and which were used to inform the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
These are listed in the Supporting Information Section of the Danbury NP Submission Plan, and you can find them on the Danbury Neighbourhood Plan Submission web page.
We have published all comments we received on our Consultation Portal, in accordance with our privacy policy. You can find out how to use the consultation portal.
You can also view a schedule and copies of the comments.
