The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is a valuable part of the pay and reward package for employees working in local government.

- compressed working weeks
We are also accredited as an Essex Family Friendly Employer.
We calculate our annual leave in hours as it better suits those working on compressed working weeks and part time working arrangements.
You will receive at least 229 hours leave. This is the equivalent of 31 days for those on five day a week, full time contracts.
This could rise up to 303 hours. This is the equivalent of 41 days, depending on your grade and length of service.
Our annual leave entitlement includes bank holidays.
We offer funding for a professional membership, if required for your role.
Our Healthcare Plan gives you the opportunity to claim back some costs for:
- dental check-ups, X-rays and hygienist fees

- wellbeing treatments, for example physiotherapy and chiropractic sessions

You will be able to use an independent confidential helpline to access support on a range of matters. This includes:
