Pay your Council Tax over 12 months
We usually divide your Council Tax bill for the year into 10 instalments.
You can request to pay your Council Tax over 12 months, instead of 10.
The total Council Tax you pay over the year will stay the same, but you will be paying less each month.
To request to pay your Council Tax over 12 months, you will need:
- your Council Tax account number
- your name, address and contact details
Once we receive your request, we recalculate your bill and advise you of your new monthly payment amount.
If you pay by Direct Debit, we will take the new monthly amount on the next payment.
If you move into your property part way through the year, we can spread your instalments over the months remaining in the financial year.
