Opening hours

The opening hours for our Civic Centre offices are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. You can access general advice and signposting in person. We do not offer face to face interviews.

Our phone lines are open from 8.45am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 4pm on Fridays. However, on the last Wednesday of every month, only urgent phonelines are open at our main contact centre.

We are closed on bank holidays.

Freighter House, our Waste and Recycling office, is also open from 8:45am to 4:45pm, Monday to Friday. It is located next to Chelmsford Recycling Centre, on Drovers Way, Springfield, Chelmsford, CM2 5PH.

Our other services, such as our sports centres, Theatres, Museums and Cemetery and Crematorium, open at different times.
